The 'Unicorn' foil board

The Unicorn design is shaped with a '' Bulb Nose"  - Allowing your 'allrounder' to be  ridden in lower litres as a partial 'sinker' The increased nose floatation allows the boards to remain more stable than a 'corky' board in nuking conditions.  The Unicorn Combines the Bulb nose with a flat rocker profile full Square set 50/50 rails and a stepped bottom tail kick making the 'Unicorn'' our midlength Parawing / Wing specialist - It gets up flying early in a shorter size outline than anything else.

For bump riding especially - we all want to ride shorter boards - the benefits to your glide, pump and surf turns are limitless.

For Parawing orientated boards  the 'Bulb' Nose w profile provides forward stability - helping prevent gusts pulling the rider forward into a nose dive situation - and instead being able to turn that gust into a successfull take off.

 

RAILS & DECK

This board can be  customised to have inverted 'Grab' rails for better ergonomics for the , or standards 50/50 rails - (more on this here) , The Unicorn deck runs back into a deep concave  for maximmum connetion to foil  

 

ROCKER & WIDTH

The Unicorns Flater  Rocker pushes foam volumes further forward increasing water speed and preventing  drag when touching down on the pump.

OUTLINE DESIGN

The rounded off nose keeps parawing lines from snagging easily. The straighter nose to tail lines allow for  high waterspeed. 

 

For Parawing and Wing - The Unicorn is a great all rounder in all conditions at about your body weight in litres - for Advanced riders 10 - 15 litres  below your body weight.  For SUP / DW SUP sizes 20 - 30 litres above your body weight is reccommended.

HISTORY

The Team at hsfoil have been riding the 'unicorn' boards ourselves in Wing and Prone for the past few years - we've messed with the names a lot - 'Sub' (for submarine) 'Bulb' (the Bulb nose) and 'unicorn' because I ride mine prone, wing and parawing... And thats impossible right? Hahahah... It is truly a unicorn.
 

The Origional 'Unicorn' design has also been the Wing board of choice for  Haro (the shaper/glasser/ designer here) ever since Ive known him  25+ years - right through windsurfing, surfing, SUP , Kite and now Foil... (hes typically 15 years ahead on board design and 35 Years behind on fashion) ...It takes the rest of us about that long to catch up. The Current Parawing ,wingfoiling and DW disciplines suits these boards to a tee.​​
