​​​​​2026 has been a massive year for foiling, with the influence of thin / fast Downwind boards pushing new boundaries and new design challenges for shapers incorporating the advantages DW boards have across all other disciplines - For progressive board builders - the DW influence has generally made 2026 prone boards easier to paddle and wind sports boards get off the water earlier.

 

The hs foil 'Raven' template comes from  prone and parawing heritage. It blends lessons learned on DW boards well into a more centrally balanced board, and we've used that to improve wing, parawing board, mid length prone, and SUP boards - Building boards in longer thinner profiles and tweaking length vs width vs thickness and in larger literage a 'Raven'  starts looking like a sweet DW or surf sup as well... features of the 'Raven' shape stand out in a crowd. In short it could be identified by its bulbous nose and deep rail chines, its dropped tail and flatter rocker - 

 

whatever the foiling discipline its a getting the right combination of proven elements together to work for the rider in the discipline and energy source that they are going to ride that matters.
