Service Description

You must be able to Already have completed Session 1 and are up 'dogging' around now... .You will be completing intermittent foil flights , Touch and Go' and your working on getting up and flying on the whole. Use this session as a 'refresher' to solidify foot positioning / centre of gravity / staying perpendicular and the steps from 'prone' to 'stinkbug' to 'knees' to 'rock out' to 'drop knee' to 'standing' and 'hopping'. Your foil pro will point out any obvious bad traits that may be hindering progress. The emphasis is now on time on foil to build muscle memory and get rid of mental balance descisions. By Now Session 1 has taught you how to fall and avoid injury, you'll be putting it into practice again. If your of the opinion that foiling is still a go for you - its going to be time to get some gear - you'll need to foil at least twice a week for the next few weeks without us to establish balance and muscle memory. There are a lot of impacts and crashes during this session. Please wear / bring wetsuits / even if its warm, they help minimise foil injuries. SESSION GOALS Touch and Go Flight Mainitaining Pitch control Maintaining Twist Left and Right for Flight control Glide and Body weight distribution. Establish what gear you want to ride - by now you'll know all about stability vs water speed, and hopefully be able to understand that wide boards give you the stability but also hinder water speed... Theres a trade off between balance and stability... The key is to move quickly / practice lots, stability will come quickly on narrower boards - But the Big wide board will stop your progress getting to foil everytime unless the wind is very strong - and that will add to severely disturbed water state - Although its an obvious choice to go Wider (27-30Inches wide is typically a learner board) You should only be at a level where this stability is necessary for a couple of weeks. If you can't get balance inside of 3 weeks. Your not practicing enough.
