This Board is the 6'6 version of our   6'10 Parawing board.

The board has been designed  for upwind and downwind Parawing - We've managed to keep much of the high speed glide of the 6'10 by incrasing the Tail width and adding a longer/ flatter rail line..

'ADVANCED Parawing Boards

'Suited to 75 - 85 Kg Advanced Riders who are working on Upwind to Downwind 'Stashed riding' connecting Bumps and riding smaller volume to pump further riding smaller foils 650 - 900sqcm)

6'6 x 21 x 4 1/2 @ 87 Litres is the base blank shape

'WE consider the 6'6 as a moderate wind / ALLROUNDER Parawing Board

'Suited to 75 Kg and over riders starting their Parawing journey that prioitise stability over pumping range. Working on Jiibes and Tacks and Down winding. These boards are easier to ride with a bit more width and volume but still pump really well and rip turns.

Boards Come with Full Deck Grip

Following the trend towards shorter , less 'tracking' boards - the hsfoil Parawing board range has dimensions that we'd call the 'Magic' Formula in relation to on water takeoff speed for smaller foils, Its a super versatile low draw/ low swing weight board that weighs in at 4.7kgs.

WIND GUIDE

LIGHT WIND WING GUIDE

The hsfoil range of Parawing these boards shows them to be very very fast in the water in even light wind - the fastest on the water being the longest. (6'10 x 22) - shortening the length or increasing the width reduces water speed - were here to help you get the right combination to get you up easily and flying.

BOARD SIZE GUIDE FOR PARAWING

Our Range of boards are built for beginner  to advanced foilers, and as such we reccommend Parawing boards should start to work for you at about the same Literage as your body weight in a wetsuit. Eg.. If your 85Kgs, Add 10 Kgs for your wetsuit in the winter. Your going to be suited for a board around 95Litres.

OVERPOWERED on a PARAWING

Its easy to mismatch your board size to the wind strength when learning to parawing.

Im up and flying when its around 20knots and on a flow 3mm. By 25 Knots I cannot hold the Parwing easily and start struggling with upwind sailing especially toeside.

A Harness makes a huge difference to your upwind sailing on these wings.

So the catch 22 with Parawinging is that getting on foil with the wing that suits the wind strength for upwind sailing leaves you a bit underpowered to get on foil in the first place. Using Wind Bumps, a faster board in the water than usual really helps you to get up...

The KEY is to Always match wind strength to the PARAWING FIRST.

Then Match required Foil and Board to THAT REQUIRED WATERSPEED.

If you go too big on the Parawing - You won't be able to go upwind.

If you go too small a para and too small a board and foil , you wont get up.

Any bump action at all underfoot makes a massive difference to that push required to get your- board speed up - but don't rely on it unless  your a Foil god. Its bloody tricky.

You may ask - why not just ride a DW board?

Totally - you can. DW boards give you the water speed - The Downside to a DW board is their 'tracking'.

The desired Tracking Built into the shapes of DW board help you to paddle them straight, Unfortunatly for Parawing riders, the inconsistent pull on the parawing requires constant balance adjustments left and right to keep your balance while gettting ready to fly on foil.

Specific shaping of the Parawing boards has been to make them 'steer' nice and easy with your feet its a kind of 'skatey' front feel that allows you to correct your balance in gusts, and pumps into bumps when your trying to get going. The shape allows the right mix of water speed combined with minimal tracking - Just the opposite of downwind boards.

The Princibles behind hsFoils Parawing Boards

Foam is hidden in the centre of the board, while dramatic nose and tail rocker add to stability. Weve done well to hide the foam in a thicker profile, to increase stability / glide and handling. The boards are perfectly centred and foil from Dogging position.

The ultimate stiffness and light weight is achieved via Biaxial carbon combined with Unistrand stringers and a reiforced carbon Mast track. This board is a refined winner. It just works everywhere - in all conditions.

Handy as a light wind wing board too , The DW Para wing board is game changer... The track is advanced further forward to make the board feel like a much smaller board. Its high dogging speed allows you to ride small foils as well as small Parawings

How and Why this design works for Dw...

Parawing is used to launch, stow - after that you need a fast ride with glide to get to the next bump / power source. You also need a light swing weight board that pumps like a dream.

To improve pump and reduce swing weight, the mast tracks are further forward, mimicking the typical feel and nose to mast lengths of our prone and Wing board range. Foilers riding this board will be positioned right in the centre of the board when up and pumping.

Construction

Biaxial carbon and stiffening HD core used to maximise stiffness and strength overall . Boards are customised in width, length and litrage based on Riders customisations... Video samples of your dimension shapes are emailled to you for varification before glassing commences.
