eTow Launcher Hull and Full Tech  Assembly Kit - 
 
We've been o b s e s s e d with the tow boogie projects running globally for the last few years, building and daily testing over 48 prototypes here in melbourne, edging our way closer all the time to the perfect eTow at a resonable price.
 
There have been many surprises along the way - with giant leaps in  stability at speed across choppy water,  and major improvements in safety and etow endurance with a ground breaking motor housing design that can handle the school of hard knocks.
 
We've enjoyted the eTow in applications such as: 
1. Kids Surfing Lessons  and  'skurfing'  fun in rivers and creeks.
2. Launch to foil and flatwater pump - fun / excercise and  foiling skill set advancement especially in carving and pumping skills.
3. Rescuing kiters  that have sank miles out. :) 
4. Surf and wake tow in
5.  Drag Transport  for small groups of foilers and surfers to distant / inaccessable swells / waves or breaks. 
6. Testing Vehicle for new foils and boards... Its an excellent way to try new gear on the same playing field. 
 
Whatever you ride - Anyone can have a go - anywhere and its awesome!

As a coaching tool, the etow gets newbies up on foil faster than anything else. when compared to a boat or jetski - there is no propwash - so following the eTow does not disturb the foil underwater...Its also silent and doesn't need a boat ramp. You can ride anywhere thats wet. 
 
etow stops from full speed to dead stop in mere metres - making it quite a lot safer for people forgetting to let go of the rope etc. 
 
In Recent Models we have offered an Optional Extended aerial to extend the remotes range out to several hundred meters. 
 
About the eTow and why it kicks ass over boats / tinnes and Jet skis... 
 
1. There is no need for a boat ramp. The eTow can be trollied into the water almost anywhere - the single is fairly light and can be carried too if your game. 
 
2 . Minimal prop wash / wake etc also means virtually NIL interference on foil... The Power on the Etow is strong... You can easily adjust your power on the fly... Controlling Pull on the rope to be accurrat and immediate by the rider.  gentle or hard as you want . - Accuratly controlling foil lift and minimising early breaching.
 
3. The etow offers foil carving practice time, as well as endless opportunities to whip onto foil and pump your heart out. You don't need to organise a boat driver, observer nor any one but yourself... 
 
4. In the surf - you've all seen the videos. These things are like the best day of your foiling life every time  you use them.  Find a section of protected water - Launch to foil and begin 'circles' in the protected area till you see a swell or wave / wake you want to ride - Release from the tow rope at maximum speed and glide glide glide till your foil speed drops enough to start to pump to destination.
 
5. locations that were previously non events suddenly become your favorite session locations.

Stability at high speed...
The hsfoil eTow and eTow Jet are a bit different to other etow / tow boogie on the market, we've worked very hard on designing a etow that can push through chop at high  speed with minimal 'jump' - weve achieved this by a combination of Twin motors, and its complex hull shape .- - were told constantly it resembles a missile...And yes - Its does. :) !  especially with the wind fin attached... (more on this below) . Stability in the water at speed is paramount to performance...
 
Cost vs Return
Another main objective was to get rid of expensive components. eTow does not have to be prohibitively expensive, Weve Cut the hs foil etow down to the basics that you need. Not functions you think you need now but with experience you will learn that  you don't. 
 
Simple Wind Steer return can be used if you want to run long DW pumps.
the eTow when rigged up with  a 'wind fin' steering system - simple and effective - will turn and face the wind / or turn and face downwind once released. Straight out of the box,  offshore breezes will turn the eTow directy into the wind after release - so if foiling on an offshore day in the surf - the eTow will be roughly pointed towards the beach and can be 'driven' directly into the wind  to shorten your return paddle when within range of 200m distances or so. You can move the fin to the front (for Downwind point) or to the back (for upwind point) depending on what your doing,
 
You will learn over time that 'follow me' eTow is dangerous, We promote sending the eTow off INFRONT of the surfer - So you can see it and also anyone or anything else in front of you and the etow... Controlling its speed via the trigger is a skill set sure, but its the right way to go.
 
 
Tow Rope and Trolley included
Pvc Limited bend tow rope minimises risk of rope burn , as well as minimising tangles in the water. The Trolley is light and makes eTow Launch and retrieval very easy. 
 
Neat Waterproof Battery case - Removable for lighter transport 
 
Batteries are optioned into the kit for International Customers. 
The eTow can be shipped without batteries -  however we reccommend either our high output 14s 6p or 14s 8p p Samsung 50S Battery cells we can provide ..  The Battery we list and reccomment is able to deliver 6000w constant loads for over an hour of constant full power run time.
 
More about required batteries - internationals wishing to use their own - 
The eTow is basically a very powerful Rc Boat, and as such it runs on most types of  RC batteries connected in series to 14 or 15s...  Space dimensions availabe in the etow is available on request.
